Privacy Policy
This policy explains how QTradie handles personal information when you use QTradie Training at training.qtradie.com. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What we collect
We collect the information needed to provide the Service, including:
- Your name and email address.
- Course progress and quiz data, such as lessons watched, quiz attempts, scores, and completion records.
- Payment metadata. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. We receive transaction metadata such as the amount paid, currency, and a payment reference.
- Basic technical data such as log and device information used to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use it
We use your information to create and manage your account, deliver courses and track your progress, process purchases and issue receipts and tax invoices, provide support, send service-related communications, and improve and secure the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Third parties we share with
We use trusted service providers to operate the Service. They only receive the information needed to perform their function:
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Mux for video hosting and streaming.
- Firebase for authentication and account services.
- Resend for transactional email.
Some of these providers may store or process data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information consistently with the APPs.
4. Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
5. Access and deletion
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion by emailing support@qtradie.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. Some information may need to be retained where the law requires it (for example, tax records).
